I’m on a train to London with a suitcase stuffed full of cool clobber from the shop. No I’m not making a great escape (yet) or chasing Lady Gaga down the country in a desperate attempt to catch her & persuade her to let me re-style her with the contents of my suitcase. In fact I’d love to tear a leaf out of Lady G’s style book myself, you may see me strutting the city with mismatched multicoloured hair, mixed with ripped up plastic bags, wearing various bits of detachable underwear, holey tights & lace goggles Ahhhh Woops – that’s me I’m talking about 20 years ago! Alas I’ve become a little more tame in the style stakes so all hail to Lady G for keepin it real.

I’m off to meet a client for a Summer wardrobe session & personal shopping. Hurray! I spent yesterday afternoon in the shop with the door locked, pulling together outfits for my client.  I now want a duplicate of every piece of clothing for myself despite the fact that I was dressing up with someone else in mind & would probably have never tried half the items on.  At 5ft 2;  blonde, blue eyes & boobs! this doll couldn’t be more different to me & strangely enough dressing up pretending to be someone else opened my eyes to colours, shapes & styles I’ve been missing out on. Despite years of styling it’s easy to slip into a pattern. I have a particular sort of style & probably turn a blind eye to anything I imagine not to be me. Choosing for someone who’s not me threw something else into the mix. I might even think about going blonde but aside from a bit of extra padding I think I’ll pass on the boob job.

Btw Karen, I hope you’re not reading this – after our shopping session I went back to the shop & bought myself the navy maxi tube dress which I selected for you. It was so not you & so not me yet it looks fab on both. I know it’ll be a well loved Summer wardrobe staple, I’ve already worn mine with a very old and well loved cropped denim jacket &  a pair of melissa flats.  As for you my dear, you can trust the weather to be  a little kinder and wear it jacketless with those fab nude wedges we got for you! Perfect to get a bit of extra height & still be comfy whilst hitting high in the trend stakes.
